Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada (the “Sponsor”) (www.heartandstroke.ca) is pleased to introduce the Lucky Cash Contest (the “Contest”). The Contest begins at 12:00 a.m. Eastern Standard Time (“EST”) on February 23, 2026, and ends at 11:59:59 p.m. EST on March 20, 2026 (“Contest Period”). The Contest includes one draw date, and to be eligible to win the Prize (defined below), entries must be received prior to Draw Dates (defined below). EST shall control for all purposes of this Contest. Sponsor’s clock shall be the official clock for purposes of the Contest.
The Contest shall be governed by these Official Rules, and by entering all participants agree to be fully and unconditionally bound by these Official Rules and the decisions of the Sponsor, which decisions shall be final and binding in all respects, and to waive any right to claim ambiguity in the Contest or these Official Rules.
The Contest is subject to applicable federal, provincial, territorial and local laws and regulations and is VOID WHERE PROHIBITED OR RESTRICTED BY LAW. Winning and receiving the Prize, as defined in Section 5, is contingent upon fulfilling all requirements set forth herein.
1. ELIGIBILITY:
The Contest is open only to natural persons who are eighteen (18) years of age of or older as of the date of their entry, and who are legal residents of the Province of Ontario, Canada, and who are physically located and residing therein.
OWNERS, OFFICERS, DIRECTORS, MEMBERS, MANAGERS, EMPLOYEES, REPRESENTATIVES, AND AGENTS OF SPONSOR, BUMP WORLDWIDE INC. AND ITS AFFILIATES, CHARITABLE GAMING DIVISION, AND ANY OTHER COMPANIES OR INDIVIDUALS ASSOCIATED WITH THE DESIGN OR EXECUTION OF THE CONTEST AS WELL AS EACH OF THEIR IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS, AS DEFINED BELOW, AND HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS, AS DEFINED BELOW, ARE NOT ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN OR WIN THE CONTEST. “IMMEDIATE FAMILY MEMBERS” SHALL MEAN SPOUSE, PARENTS, STEP-PARENTS, LEGAL GUARDIANS, CHILDREN, STEP-CHILDREN, SIBLINGS OR STEP-SIBLINGS AND EACH OF THEIR SPOUSES REGARDLESS OF WHERE THEY RESIDE. “HOUSEHOLD MEMBERS” SHALL MEAN THOSE PEOPLE WHO SHARE THE SAME RESIDENCE AT LEAST THREE (3) MONTHS A YEAR.
BY ENTERING, ALL PARTICIPANTS WARRANT THAT THEY ARE ELIGIBLE TO PARTICIPATE IN THE CONTEST AND SATISFY ALL REQUIREMENTS SET FORTH IN THESE OFFICIAL RULES.
2. HOW TO ENTER:
(a) Entry Via Donation
During the Contest Period, you may enter the Contest by donating to the Sponsor via the entry process as set forth at www.heartandstrokelottery.ca/luckycashsweepstakes. The number of entries received per donation are detailed below:
- 1 entry for every $10 donation received by the Sponsor
No tax receipts will be issued by the Sponsor for donations made in exchange for entry into the Contest.
(b)No Purchase Necessary
During the Contest Period, you may also enter the Contest by mailing a handwritten, original 100-word statement explaining why heart and brain health matters to you. Include your full name, complete mailing address, email address and phone number, and send to 18 Auriga Dr, Nepean ON K2E 7T9 to enter. Requests must be received by March 20, 2026. No photocopies or mechanical reproductions accepted. Entries have no cash value and are subject to verification. This contest supports the Heart & Stroke Foundation and helps raise awareness of heart and brain health.
(c)Additional Information
Each such entry will be eligible to be selected as a potential Prize winner (a “Potential Winner”) for the entirety of the Contest Period that remains following the date the entry was provided.
Heart & Stroke will not accept entries by phone, email, fax or any other method not specifically permitted herein. Entries generated by script, macro, robotic, programmed, or any other automated means or by any means which subvert the entry process are prohibited and will be disqualified.
All materials and information submitted by you in connection with seeking to obtain an entry and/or claim the Prize shall be the exclusive property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. To the extent that any person has or obtains any title, right or interest in or to any such materials and information submitted for such purposes, you hereby assign and/or agree to assign all of such title, right and interest therein and thereto to the Sponsor or any entity designated by the Sponsor. You further agree to execute any additional documents, applications and/or registration forms as may be presented to such person to establish the rights of the Sponsor and/or any entity designated by the Sponsor as stated herein. You hereby also waive in favour of the Sponsor and/or any entity designated by the Sponsor, any moral rights in any materials and information submitted for such purposes.
Neither the Sponsor, nor the owners, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, representatives, and agents of the Sponsor, nor any of their respective parent companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, partners, fulfilment agencies, nor any other companies associated with the design or execution of the Contest, including without limitation Bump Worldwide Inc. and its affiliates, nor any of the Prize providers (individually and collectively referred to herein as the “Contest Entities”) are responsible for incorrect or inaccurate transcription of entry information, computer, online or human error, technical malfunctions, any omission, interruption, defect, or any other error, including, without limitation, lost, late, incomplete, invalid, unintelligible or misdirected entries, all of which may constitute grounds for disqualification in Sponsor’s sole and absolute discretion. If a problem occurs in the entry process, the participant is solely responsible for verifying that the entry process has been validly completed. Sponsor and the Contest Entities shall have no obligation to advise a participant of an incomplete entry. Participants are solely responsible for all online charges incurred with any internet service provider and/or wireless carrier.
NO PURCHASE OR PAYMENT OF ANY KIND IS REQUIRED TO ENTER.
3. WINNER SELECTION:
On or about the following, BUMP, A Division of Canadian Bank Note Company, Limited will select a Potential Winner in accordance with these Official Rules:
(a)There will be one (1) draw (performed electronically) which will take place on March 23, 2026 at approximately 11:00 AM EST; at Canadian Bank Note Office - 18 Auriga Dr, Nepean ON K2E 7T9
Potential Winner(s) will be selected by random drawing using a random number generator algorithm from all eligible entries received during the Contest Period. Potential Winner(s) will be notified using the email or phone number provided with the selected entry, as applicable, and will be conditionally named the winner of a specified Prize subject to verification of eligibility and compliance with the provisions of the Official Rules. The notification will include instructions for how to contact the Sponsor to provide name, address and other information that in the view of the Sponsor is required or desirable to complete the validation of eligibility and arrange for delivery of the Prize. Each selected Potential Winner must execute all consents as may be required by the Sponsor in order to be eligible to receive a Prize. The Contest Entities are not liable for any notification that is lost, intercepted or otherwise not received by a Potential Winner for any reason.
If a Potential Winner does not respond within seventy-two (72) hours of the first notification attempt, or if the Prize notification communication is returned as undeliverable, or if the Sponsor otherwise determines in the exercise of its sole discretion that the Potential Winner is ineligible to receive the Prize in question, such Potential Winner may be disqualified. Where a Potential Winner is thereby disqualified the Sponsor may, in its sole discretion, select an alternate Potential Winner by way of a random drawing from among the remaining entries. However, the Sponsor reserves the right to determine in the exercise of its sole discretion that any Prize that remains unclaimed as a result of the operation of this section after thirty (30) days have elapsed from the end of the Contest Period will not be awarded in the Contest.
In the event of a dispute over who is attributed with a winning entry, the authorized account holder of the email address provided at registration in order to obtain the entry will be deemed to be the owner of the winning entry. The authorized account holder is defined as the natural person who is assigned an email address by an internet access provider, online service provider or other organization that is responsible for assigning email addresses for the domain associated with the submitted email address.
Sponsor expressly reserves the right to delay the announcement of any Potential Winner for any reason Sponsor deems necessary. Sponsor’s decisions shall be final and binding in all matters pertaining to the Contest.
4. VERIFICATION OF POTENTIAL WINNERS:
Each Potential Winner is subject to verification by the Sponsor and/or its agents. Sponsor’s decisions are final and binding in all matters relating to the administration and operation of the process of verifying Potential Winners, as well as all other matters relating to the Contest. A participant is not a winner of any Prize unless and until eligibility and compliance with these Official Rules is verified by the Sponsor and/or its agents and the participant has been notified that verification is complete. In order to receive a Prize, Potential Winners will be required to correctly answer, without assistance of any kind, a time-limited mathematical skill-testing question to be administered by telephone or email by the Sponsor or its agent at a mutually agreed upon time.
In addition, in order to be verified a Potential Winner may at the sole discretion of the Sponsor be required to complete and return certain documents, including without limitation an affidavit of eligibility, a release of liability and/or publicity release, in the form(s) provided by the Sponsor or the Sponsor’s lawyers and by a date or date(s) specified by the Sponsor or the Sponsor’s lawyers.
If a Potential Winner (a) fails to provide any information and/or complete and return any documents which the Sponsor may require in the exercise of its sole discretion to confirm the Potential Winner’s identity and eligibility to receive the Prize in question; (b) is found by the Sponsor in the exercise of its sole discretion to be ineligible to enter the Contest or to receive a Prize; (c) fails to correctly answer the skill-testing question; and/or (d) has not, cannot or does not comply with the Official Rules, that Potential Winner shall be disqualified from the Contest. In such event, an alternate Potential Winner may be randomly selected, at the Sponsor’s sole discretion, from among the remaining eligible entries received. However, the Sponsor reserves the right to determine in the exercise of its sole discretion that any Prize that remains unclaimed as a result of the operation of this section after thirty (30) days have elapsed from the end of the Contest Period will not be awarded in the Contest.
5. PRIZES AND ODDS OF WINNING:
The prize (the “Prize”) is as follows:
(a)Twenty Thousand Dollars Cash (CAD $20,000).
There is a total of one (1) Prize to be won. The odds of winning the Prize depend on the total number of eligible entries received during the Contest Period.
No substitution and/or transfer of any Prize is permitted except in the sole discretion of the Sponsor.
Prizes will be awarded to the Purchaser named on the official ticket. A copy of a valid government issued photo ID, which includes address information, may be required to claim the prize. Unclaimed prizes will be reported and a charitable allocation to the Foundation. In the event of a discrepancy, the official records of the Foundation will be deemed correct and final. By claiming a prize, the winner (i.e., successful purchaser) consents to the use of their likeness (photograph, if available), first and last name, ticket number, city or town of residence, video recording (when available only) and transcription/recording of the winner notification phone call to be used for any publicity purposes by the Foundation. Winners may be required, at Heart & Stroke’s discretion, to sign a full & final waiver and release prior to transfer of the prize. All cash prizes are paid by cheque or electronic funds transfer in Canadian funds, at the discretion of the Foundation. The Foundation is only responsible for communicating with the Purchasers and is not responsible for any prize entitlement of any other individual(s).
6. TAXES
ALL FEDERAL, PROVINCIAL, TERRITORIAL AND LOCAL TAXES AND FEES ARE THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE PRIZE WINNER. ALL OTHER COSTS AND EXPENSES RELATED TO ANY PRIZE NOT SPECIFIED HEREIN AND OTHER EXPENSES INCURRED BY ACCEPTING THE PRIZE ARE ALSO THE SOLE RESPONSIBILITY OF THE WINNER. ANY REQUIRED TAX REPORTING FORMS WILL BE FURNISHED TO THE APPROPRIATE AUTHORITIES.
7. PRIVACY and PUBLICITY
Except where prohibited or restricted by law, a winner's acceptance of any Prize constitutes the winner's agreement and consent for Sponsor and any of its designees to use and/or publish the Prize winner's full name, city and province or territory of residence, photographs or other likenesses, pictures, portraits, video, voice, testimonials, biographical information (in whole or in part), and/or statements made by the Prize winner regarding the Contest or Sponsor, worldwide and in perpetuity for any and all purposes, including, but not limited to, advertising, trade and/or Contest on behalf of Sponsor, in any and all forms of media, now known or hereafter devised, including, but not limited to, print, television, radio, electronic, cable, or Internet, without further limitation, restriction, compensation, notice, review, or approval.
By entering the Contest, participants may be sharing their personal information with Sponsor. Personal information collected by Sponsor will be used for administration of the Contest and awarding Prize(s). In addition, by entering, entrants agree to Sponsor's use of entrant's personal information as described in its privacy policy available at https://www.heartandstroke.ca/privacy-policy. Please refer to Sponsor's privacy policy for important information regarding the collection, use and disclosure of personal information by Sponsor. Sponsor is not responsible for disclosures made by any third party. BY ENTERING THIS CONTEST, YOU ACKNOWLEDGE AND AGREE THAT YOU HAVE READ AND CONSENT TO SPONSOR’S PRIVACY POLICY AND TERMS OF SERVICE.
PARTICIPANT FURTHER ACKNOWLEDGES THAT PARTICIPANT’S PERSONAL IDENTIFYING INFORMATION MAY BE DISCLOSED TO THIRD PARTIES INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, PLACING PARTICIPANT’S NAME ON A WINNERS’ LIST. Any inquiry concerning the personal information held by the Sponsor and shared with any of the Prize suppliers should be addressed to the Sponsor’s Privacy Officer at 1-888-HSF-INFO (473-4636) or privacyoffice@heartandstroke.ca.
8. GENERAL CONDITIONS:
Sponsor is not responsible for programming, coding, or other web production errors and Sponsor may rescind, cancel or revoke the Contest based on any such error without liability on the part of any of the Contest Entities at its sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor also reserves the right to cancel, suspend and/or modify the Contest, or any part of it, if any fraud, technical failures or any other factor beyond Sponsor’s reasonable control impairs the integrity or proper functioning of the Contest, as determined by Sponsor, at its sole and absolute discretion. In such event, Sponsor reserves the right to award the Prize at random from among the eligible entries received up to the time of the impairment (and/or thereafter), or in such other manner as deemed fair and appropriate by Sponsor, at its sole and absolute discretion. Sponsor also reserves the right, at its sole and absolute discretion, to disqualify any individual found to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or to be acting in violation of these Official Rules or any other Contest or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner.
ANY ATTEMPT BY YOU OR ANY OTHER INDIVIDUAL TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE THE APPLICATION OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND/OR CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, THE SPONSOR RESERVES THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES AND OTHER REMEDIES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
Participants agree to be bound by the Official Rules and decisions of Sponsor and/or Sponsor’s representatives, which are final and binding in all respects.
The invalidity or unenforceability of any provision of these Official Rules will not affect the validity or enforceability of any other provision. In the event that any provision of the Official Rules is determined to be invalid or otherwise unenforceable or illegal, the other provisions will remain in effect and will be construed in accordance with their terms as if the invalid or illegal provision were not contained herein. Sponsor’s failure to enforce any term of these Official Rules will not constitute a waiver of that provision. You agree to waive any rights to claim ambiguity of these Official Rules or any Contest materials. Headings are solely for convenience of reference and will not be deemed to affect in any manner the meaning or intent of the documents or any provision hereof.
9. LIMITATIONS ON LIABILITY:
Sponsor and the Contest Entities and any and all Internet server(s) and internet and cellular telephone and mobile data access provider(s), and each of its respective companies, affiliates, subsidiaries, franchisees, partners, and all of their owners, officers, directors, members, managers, employees, representatives, and agents (collectively, “the Released Parties”) are not responsible for: any incorrect or inaccurate entry information; human errors; technical malfunctions; failures, omissions, interruptions, deletions or defects of any telephone network, computer online systems, computer equipment, servers, providers or software, including without limitation, any injury or damage to participant’s or any other person’s computer or mobile device relating to or resulting from participation in the Contest; inability to download any application or access any pages thereof; theft, tampering, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; data that is processed late or incorrectly or is incomplete or lost due to telephone, computer, mobile telephone or electronic malfunction or traffic congestion on telephone lines, mobile telephone networks, or the Internet or any website or for any other reason whatsoever; typographical, printing or other errors; late, lost, stolen, mutilated, misdirected or postage-due mail, or any combination thereof. Any and all entry materials will become the property of the Sponsor and will not be acknowledged or returned. False, fraudulent or deceptive entries or acts shall render entrants ineligible.
Released Parties shall not be liable to winner or any other person for failure to supply the prize or any part thereof, by reason of any acts of God, any action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) by any governmental or quasi-governmental entity (whether or not the action(s), regulation(s), order(s) or request(s) prove(s) to be invalid), equipment failure, terrorist acts, earthquake, war, fire, flood, explosion, unusually severe weather, hurricane, embargo, labor dispute or strike (whether legal or illegal), labor or material shortage, transportation interruption of any kind, work slow-down, civil disturbance, insurrection, riot, or any other cause beyond the Released Parties’ sole control.
By entering this Contest, entrants agree that Released Parties shall not be liable for personal injuries, death, dismemberment, damages, expenses or costs or losses of any kind resulting from participation in this Contest, or from acceptance of or use or inability to use a prize or parts thereof, including without limitation, claims, suits, injuries, losses and damages related to personal injuries, death, dismemberment, damage to or destruction of property, rights of publicity or privacy, defamation or portrayal in a false light (whether intentional or unintentional), whether under a theory of contract, tort (including negligence), warranty or other theory. Each Prize winner releases the Released Parties from any and all liability and responsibility with respect to the Prize (including any property loss, damage, personal injury or death). Each Prize winner acknowledges the aforementioned individuals and entities have neither made nor are in any manner responsible for any warranty, representation or guarantee, expressed or implied, in fact or in law, related to the Prize.
In no event will the Released Parties be liable to any Contest participant for any consequential, indirect, special, exemplary or punitive damages in relation to the Contest under any theory of liability or loss. In the event the Released Parties are found to be liable to a participant of the Contest, the damages or loss payable by the Released Parties will be limited to the value of the donation made by the participant or $10.00, whichever is higher.
10. CONTROLLING LAW AND JURISDICTION:
All issues and questions concerning the construction, validity, interpretation and enforceability of these Official Rules, or the rights and obligations of an entrant in this Contest, and any action related thereto shall be governed and construed in accordance with the applicable laws of Canada and the Province of Ontario. The exclusive jurisdiction and venue of any action with respect to the subject matter of these Official Rules will be the Superior Court of Justice located in the City of Toronto, Ontario and each of the parties hereto waives any objection to jurisdiction and venue in such courts.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, each participant in the sweepstakes agrees that, in consideration of being permitted to participate in the Contest, they waive the right to trial by jury as well as any right to participate in a class action lawsuit in any jurisdiction related to the Contest.
